Skibbereen RFC Tractor, Truck & Vehicle Run
On January 11th, Skibbereen RFC will host its inaugural Tractor, Truck & Vehicle Run, bringing together the local community for a unique and meaningful event in support of the Andrew.
This special run is being organised in aid of Andrew Brennan, a former Skibbereen RFC player who sustained a life-changing spinal injury following a farm accident. The funds raised will directly support Andrew’s ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and the housing adaptations he now requires to live safely and independently.
Participants are invited to take part using tractors, trucks, vintage vehicles, or cars, with registration opening at 10.00am at the Skibbereen RFC clubhouse. The run will depart at 12.00pm, with tea, coffee, and snacks available at the clubhouse throughout the morning. Registration is €20 per vehicle, and all support on the day is deeply appreciated.
Events like this reflect the strength and generosity of the Skibbereen and West Cork community. The decision by Skibbereen RFC to launch this inaugural run in support of Andrew is a powerful gesture of solidarity, honouring his connection to the club and the values of teamwork and resilience that rugby fosters.
Everyone is welcome, whether you are taking part in the run, cheering along the route, or stopping by the clubhouse to show your support. Every contribution, presence, and gesture of encouragement helps make a real difference.
Andrew and his family extend their sincere thanks to Skibbereen RFC, the organisers, and all who are supporting this event. Your generosity and community spirit will have a lasting impact.
