UCD v Lansdowne Match Raises Support for the Andrew Brennan Trust
On December 5th, the annual UCD v Lansdowne rugby match took place at the Aviva Stadium back pitch, delivering a thrilling contest on the field and meaningful support off it for Andrew.
In a high-scoring and fiercely contested game featuring 11 tries, UCD emerged victorious with a 43–38 win over Lansdowne. The match remained on a knife edge until the final moments, when Ben Brownlee crossed for a decisive try in the 77th minute, sealing a memorable victory for UCD.
Beyond the excitement of the rugby, the occasion carried added significance. Funds raised through the match-day raffle were generously donated to the Andrew Brennan Trust, contributing directly to Andrew’s ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and housing adaptations.
The support shown on the day was a powerful reminder of the strength of the rugby community and its willingness to rally around one of its own. Players, supporters, and organisers alike made the event both a sporting success and a meaningful act of generosity.
Andrew and his family extend their sincere thanks to UCD, Lansdowne, and everyone who contributed on the day. Your support is deeply appreciated and will have a lasting impact.
