Thank You to the “Doucha Boy” Weekend of Bowling

The Andrew Brennan Trust would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the Annual “Doucha Boy” Weekend of Bowling held on the Marsh Road in Skibbereen, West Cork.

‍ ‍

This wonderful weekend of traditional Irish road bowling brought the community together once again in a celebration of sport, friendship and generosity. Funds raised at this uniquely Irish sporting event went to The Andrew Brennan Trust.

‍ ‍

We would like to give special thanks to John Hayes, William O’Brien and Jerry O’Sullivan, along with the entire Marsh Road Bowling Committee, for the tremendous work and dedication that went into organising such a successful event.

‍ ‍

Events like this require countless hours of planning, coordination and community support. The commitment shown by the organisers ensured a fantastic weekend that was enjoyed by players, supporters and spectators alike.

‍ ‍

A sincere word of thanks also goes to West Cork Distillery for their generous sponsorship of the event.

‍ ‍

Road bowling has long been a proud tradition in West Cork, and the atmosphere along the Marsh Road over the weekend reflected everything that makes the sport so special, friendly rivalry, local pride and strong community spirit.

‍ ‍

To everyone who bowled, organised, sponsored, donated or simply came along to support the event, thank you, we are deeply grateful for your support.
